The first market-ready e-mountainbike with the new Fazua motor comes from Pivot. With a lightweight carbon frame and short chainstays, the Pivot Shuttle SL is fully geared towards riding fun.

Less motor power, less weight, more fun on the trail. The Light E-MTB dominates this year's innovations. After the first bike with the new, lightweight e-bike drive from TQ Systems and the prelaunch of the new Transition with Fazua motor now also sees the first market-ready E-MTB with Fazua Ride 60 drive the light of day. The Pivot Shuttle SL will be available immediately.

Pivot Shuttle SL: Light E-MTB trimmed for riding fun

Pivot has been particularly consistent in the development of the new Light E-MTB. The new Shuttle SL is not a banger. Instead, the cult company from Arizona presents a Trail bikewith its carbon frame, permanently integrated battery and super-short chainstays is uncompromisingly focussed on a Light-footed handling is designed.

On the drive side, Pivot relies on the new Ride 60 from Fazua. Fans of motor power on Light E-MTBs will be delighted: with up to 60 Newton metres of torquet and up to 450 watts peak power, the Fazua is clearly at the powerful end of the light drives. 430 watt hours is provided by the battery, which is firmly integrated into the down tube of the Pivot Shuttle SL.

The minimalist display on the top tube provides information about the battery status and U-level.

Geometry of the Shuttle SL: short and handy

In addition to the drive itself, the frame and the fun-oriented geometry are at the heart of the new Shuttle SL. The Steering angle drops to 65 degrees not too flat in favour of manoeuvrability, the Reach is 478 millimetres modern and rather long for size L.

Impressive: Despite small production quantities, Pivot also relies on a rear triangle that grows with the rider's size. The chainstays measure 432 millimetres in frame sizes S and M, 434 millimetres for size L and 438 millimetres for size XL. Those who like it even more playful can opt for a Flipchip adjust the head angle half a degree steeper and the chainstays two millimetres shorter.

Pivot Shuttle SL from 8999 euros: Models and prices

There will be two model variants of the Pivot Shuttle SL. The weight-optimised top model "Worldcup" is based on a Fox 34 with 140 millimetres of travel and should therefore weigh less than 16.5 kilograms (size M, manufacturer's specification). All other models come with a sturdier Fox 36 with 150 millimetres stroke. It starts with the "Ride" model with Fox performance components and XT/SLX mix, the Factory suspension is available from the Pro model for 10499 euros. The top-of-the-range "Worldcup" model costs 12599 euros.
