260 kilometres through the Spreewald UNESCO Biosphere Reserve: the Gurkenradweg cycle route is still one of the hidden gems amongst Germany’s cycle routes. Gentle paths wind their way through woods, along canals and through picturesque villages. Author Thomas Widerin explored the route – and, above all, enjoyed the peace and quiet.
