Delivery problems, high bike prices, poor availability. Nevertheless, the market for e-mountainbikes is booming. Countless new products have been unveiled for 2022 over the past two years, but not all of them have been well received by our readers and editorial team. In our big reader survey, we therefore wanted to know, among other things Which bikes particularly impressed you, the readers?
Big EMTB reader survey: Which are the E-MTBs of the Year 2022?
20 candidates in four categories from touring bikes and all-mountain bikes to e-enduro bikes and light e-MTBs were up for election. Four candidates came out on top in the end. In addition to voting for the E-MTBs of the year, our big reader survey also had another purpose: to get to know you better as readers. What topics are you interested in, what terrain do you ride? How much motor power do you use, which battery sizes do you prefer, which parts and brands do you like? In this way, we want to tailor EMTB even better to you and thus make our magazine even better.
But our large reader surveys are also an important indicator for the industry. Do the technical developments still match what you as bikers imagine? Together with the reader surveys conducted by our sister magazines BIKE, MYBIKE and FREERIDE, we are able to compile the largest market study in the industry and thus influence the direction in which bikes will develop in the coming years.
Over 6400 readers voted this year from March to June and chose their favourites among the current e-MTBs. And so the curtain rises on the e-MTBs of 2022:
