KTM MACINA CENTRAL 8

The "MACINA CENTRAL 8" model from KTM, released in 2020, is a high-quality e-bike that impresses with a wide range of technical features and specifications. The frame is made from Macina City US Alloy 6061 and is fitted with a Bosch Gen.3 motor and a T-9680 battery, which offers a capacity of 500 Wh. The motor fitted is the Bosch ACTIVE PLUS Gen.3, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h and a torque of 50 Nm.

Safety is ensured by the Magura HS11 Evo2 brakes, which offer reliable braking power. Gear changes are controlled via the Shimano Nexus 8 Revoshifter, which allows for precise and easy gear selection. The Suntour CR85-E25 fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures additional comfort on uneven terrain.

The bike’s lighting comprises the B&M Lumotec AVY LED front light, with a luminous intensity of 40 lux, and the B&M Toplight 2C LED rear light, which ensures good visibility in road traffic. The pedals are non-slip and are the Trekk VP-616 model.

The crankset is a KTM COMP BNI with a length of 170 mm and a Q-factor of 16. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z1eHX chain. The handlebars are KTM Line Noirette Plus, 660 mm wide, complemented by Ergon GP1 grips without bar ends for added comfort. The stem is adjustable and allows for an angle of 0 to 90 degrees, ensuring an optimal riding position.

The tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Plus Perf. GreenGuard in size 40-622 at both the front and rear, providing good traction and puncture resistance. The wheelset consists of KTM Line – Shimano Acera T3000 hubs with 36 spokes and Ambrosio Track rims in size 622x20C, connected by DT Champion 2.0 spokes in silver.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway, which, together with the KTM Line Elegance Suspension seatpost (30.9/300 mm), ensures a high level of comfort. The mudguards are SKS B53T in gloss black, which protect the bike from dirt and splashes. An adjustable KTM 28" kickstand and a KTM Racktime Tour luggage rack with Snap-it system round off the specification.

The Bosch INTUVIA LCD display with remote control allows for easy control and monitoring of the motor assistance as well as other ride data. Overall, the KTM MACINA CENTRAL 8 offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and safety, ideal for urban use as well as longer tours.
