Thanks to plenty of pressure on the front wheel, the bike willingly climbs any ramp, no matter how steep. The rest of the design is also sporty and firm. The wheels, built with full-length 2.0 spokes, are very stiff and transmit impacts from the rear wheel to the saddle with hardly any filtering. As is so often the case in this test group, the tyres have a limiting effect: Conti's X-King 2.2 tyres do not manage to transfer the power of the rider and drive unit safely to the ground. With the right gearing, the CX drivetrain delivers plenty of thrust. The large Nyon display hangs on the front of the handlebars.
ConclusionSporty bikers are in the right place on the KTM. For long tours, the display with sat nav function is a help, off-road the worry of a crash is a nuisance.
