KTM MACINA CENTRAL 5

The "MACINA CENTRAL 5" model from KTM, released in 2020, is a versatile electric bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out features. The frame is made from Macina City US Alloy 6061 and incorporates the Bosch Gen.3 motor and the Bosch PowerPACK battery with a capacity of 500 Wh. This provides smooth and powerful assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h and a torque of 65 Nm.

For braking performance, the bike is fitted with Magura HS11 Evo2 brakes, which ensure reliable deceleration. Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Nexus 5 Revoshifter, which allows for easy and precise gear selection. The Suntour NEX-E25 fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures comfort on uneven roads.

The bike’s lighting comprises a B&M Lumotec AVY LED front light with 40 lux and a B&M Toplight 2C LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in the dark. The Trekk VP-616 pedals are non-slip and offer a secure grip. The KTM COMP BNI crankset has a length of 170 mm.

The handlebars are KTM Line Noirette Plus, 660 mm wide, complemented by Ergon GP1 grips without bar ends for added comfort. The adjustable KTM Line UP3 stem allows the handlebars to be adjusted from 0 to 90 degrees. The tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Plus Performance GreenGuard 40-622, fitted to both the front and rear, ensuring good rolling performance and protection.

The wheelset consists of KTM Line rims, combined with Shimano Acera T3000 hubs and Ambrosio Track rims, secured with DT Champion spokes. The Selle Royal Freeway saddle and the KTM Line Elegance suspension seatpost offer additional comfort on longer rides.

The bike is also fitted with SKS B53T mudguards in gloss black, which protect against dirt and water. The KTM 28" adjustable kickstand provides stability when parking the bike. The KTM Racktime Tour (Snap-It) luggage rack allows bags and baskets to be easily attached.

The Bosch INTUVIA LCD display with remote control rounds off the features by clearly showing the rider all key information, such as speed, battery level and assistance level. Overall, the KTM MACINA CENTRAL 5 is a well-equipped e-bike that is ideal for everyday city use as well as for longer rides.
