Ghost Kato 27.5 AL

The "Kato 27.5 AL" model from Ghost, released in 2023, is a versatile mountain bike available for 629 EUR. The frame is made of aluminium (ALUMINIUM KATO AL), which gives the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg.

The Kato 27.5 AL’s braking system is fitted with Shimano BRMT200 160 mm disc brakes, operated by Shimano BLMT200 brake levers. The front brake disc is also from Shimano (SMRT10 160 mm). Gear shifting is provided by a Shimano Tourney RDTY300 7-speed derailleur in combination with a Shimano Tourney FDTY300 front derailleur, offering a total of 21 gears.

The handlebars on the Kato 27.5 AL are Ground Fiftyone, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm. The grips are MTB grips, and the stem is 50 mm long with a 9-degree angle. The headset is model 14106.

The bike’s spokes are Sapim 2.0, and both the front and rear rims are Schürmann Yak Disc 25. The tyres are Mitas Ocelot in size 27x2.10, fitted to Shimano hubs (HBTX505 QR 100 mm at the front and FHTX505 QR 135 mm at the rear).

The saddle is a Selle Italia XBase, and the seatpost is a GHOST SP DC1 with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The saddle is clamped using a GHOST XC 68 with a diameter of 34.9 mm.
