Ghost Kato 1.6 AL U

The Ghost “Kato 1.6 AL U” model from 2020 is a versatile mountain bike that stands out for its solid spec and good value for money. The bike’s frame is made from robust aluminium (KATO AL) and offers high stability with a maximum load capacity of up to 120 kg.

For the braking system, Ghost has opted for Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, fitted with 160 mm discs (Shimano SM-RT10) at both the front and rear. The Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers ensure precise and reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The Kato 1.6 AL U’s gear system is based on the Shimano Tourney TX series. The bike’s suspension is provided by the SR Suntour SF15 XCM HLO DS fork with 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride on uneven terrain. The bike is fitted with VPE-891 pedals, which ensure good power transfer.

The XLC handlebars, with a width of 700 mm and a rise of 15 mm (diameter 31.8 mm), together with the Velo grips, offer comfortable and controlled steering. The XLC MTB stem also has a diameter of 31.8 mm and contributes to the stability of the handlebars.

The bike’s rims are Rodi Excalibur XC 559x19 mm with 32 spoke holes at both the front and rear. The Mitas Ocelot tyres, sized 26 x 2.10, offer good grip and stability on a variety of surfaces. The hubs are Shimano HB-TX505 QR at the front and Shimano FH-TX505 QR at the rear, ensuring reliable and long-lasting performance. The spokes are from DT Swiss (2.0), providing additional robustness.

The DDK 2373A saddle and the GHOST SP-DC1 seatpost (diameter 31.6 mm) offer comfort even on longer rides. The Ghost XC seat clamp has a diameter of 34.9 mm and ensures the saddle is securely fastened.
