Specialised needs no lengthy explanations for the Demo 11. The race course has spoken. In 2026, the Demo secured four World Cup victories in a row. Jordan Williams won in Andorra and La Thuile, whilst Finn Iles followed suit in Lenzerheide and Leogang. Four races, four victories. This means the Demo 11 fits perfectly with the concept behind the Built for Legends Collection: Specialised takes its most successful current race bikes and brings them together for a joint appearance. The Demo takes on the toughest discipline in the quartet.

Trust makes all the difference in a matter of seconds

Specialized calls the concept behind the Demo 11 ‘The Speed of Trust’. The idea behind it sounds almost philosophical at first, but it fits downhill riding surprisingly well.

When a bike is racing over roots, rocks and jumps at 70 km/h, it isn’t just performance that determines its speed. The rider must trust the bike in order to reach those speeds in the first place.

Made in Racing Red

Visually, the LTD Demo 11 makes a real statement. The exclusive colour is called ‘Made in Racing Red’. Specialised uses this to link its racing heritage with the current ‘Built for Legends’ concept.

The red metallic finish is combined with dark, hand-applied elements. As a result, the surface does not look like a standard production paint job. Every paint finish is unique. This makes the LTD version of the Demo look just like a bike straight from the pit lane at a World Cup event. And, of course, it’s not just about the colour. Each of the 50 bikes bears its own number. This turns the already exclusive downhill bike into a genuine collector’s item.

Built for Legends – the downhill version of the collection

The Demo 11 is perhaps the most consistent interpretation of the ‘Built for Legends’ concept. The Epic 9 represents XC. The Tarmac represents road cycling. The Crux represents gravel. The Demo 11 takes on downhill – the discipline in which bike and rider become one.

The four models are united by the same concept: Specialized is celebrating a season in which its top-of-the-range race bikes secured victories on the biggest stages. The Demo 11’s record is particularly impressive: four consecutive victories!
