Trail bike with marathon genes: Specialised Epic Evo
Even with increased suspension travel, the Evo version of the Specialized Epic still exudes a good dose of racing air. The Expert version in the test.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. This wisdom also applies to the Evo version of the brand new Specialized Epic. The Evo is based on the 1742 gram frame of the CC rocket and has been trimmed to trail dimensions with a different fork and a shock with more travel. We tested the Epic Evo Expert, which now costs € 6999 following Specialized's price increase in November 2020. The result is an 11.35-kilo trail bike with a pronounced forward thrust. By dispensing with the Brain system, the frame and shock of the Evo even weigh slightly less than the Race version.

The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
