The new Nicolai Saturn 11 offers detailed improvements compared to its predecessor.
Nicolai presented the new version of the Saturn 11 down-country bike at Eurobike 2022 in Frankfurt. Compared to its predecessor from 2016, the rear triangle has been revised and minor detail improvements have been made.

Saturn 11 for 2023: More space in the rear triangle

Various details of the Nicolai Saturn 11 have been revised and improved for the 2023 model year. Compared to the model produced since 2016, the a BIKE test victory in 2020 the rear triangle in particular has been revised. This now offers space for tyres up to 29 x 2.4 inches thanks to a newly designed yoke and a more widely supported rocker arm. This means that the Saturn 11 retains its central component, the bulky, CNC-machined rocker arm, which weighs 180 grams. The wider rear triangle should also bring more stiffness and stability to the bike. Furthermore, metric shocks are now used and the tie rod mounted parallel to the shock has also been removed. The new shock mount is also intended to increase stiffness in the bottom bracket area. The rear suspension travel is also said to have increased slightly. Nicolai specifies 106 millimetres, but we had already measured 115 millimetres on the predecessor. At the front, the down-country bike has 120 millimetres of suspension travel.

Customised Saturn 11 superstructures are part of the programme, not just an option

As is typical for Nicolai, the new Saturn 11 is also available in a wide range of colour, decor and finish variants. The individual milled parts of the frame, such as the bellcrank, can also be colour-coordinated with the anodised finish of other add-on parts. In terms of geometry, Nicolai remains true to its Geolution concept with a long, flat front frame.

The Saturn 11 is available in five frame sizes from S to XXL and is suitable for riders from 1.64 m to 2.10 metres tall. The Saturn 11 can be customised in the online configurator with a variety of high-quality add-on parts.
