The Canyon Spectral 125 is intended to fill the gap between the Neuron (classic trail bike) and the Strive (enduro bike) - and it does this very well. With the LTD version available immediately, Canyon has installed the Rockshox Flight Attendant electric suspension. This little "brain" - less pathetic: the control unit - on the fork and shock registers the surface, incline and rider input.
The Flight Attendant uses this data to adjust the compression damping of the Rockshox Pike Ultimate FA suspension fork (140 mm travel) and the Super Deluxe Ultimate FA shock (125 mm) in fractions of a second. For riders of the Canyon Spectral 125 CF LTD, this means that they automatically have the right setting, without fiddling with adjustment knobs or the situation: after the first stages, you realise that the lockout lever is still engaged. We have already tested how well the Flight Attendant landing gear works.
In addition to the high-end suspension, the Spectral 125 CF LTD's black and gold paintwork is particularly striking; the bike is the only model with this exclusive colour in the Canyon line-up.
However, it is not only the design of the Spectral 125 CF LTD that shines, but also the rest of the equipment. On the drive wireless Sram X01 AXS groupset mounted, the wireless Reverb AXS dropper post from Rockshox lowers the saddle when things get fun on the trail. According to Canyon, the DT Swiss XMC 1501 carbon alloy wheelset is designed to meet the demands of aggressive trail manoeuvres, which is also reflected in the Maxxis tyres and the Sram Code RSC brakes with 180 mm discs.
At 13.4 kilograms, the CF LTD is the lightest model in Canyon's Spectral 125 line-up. It is now available to order online for 7499 euros.
