Perched at an altitude of 2,264 metres in the Silvretta, just across the Swiss border, the Heidelberger Hütte has stood guard over the Fimbatal valley since 1889. Mountain bikers have been making the pilgrimage up here since the 1990s, as they have been made to feel very welcome here right from the start.
