Fancy popping into the Zugspitze Bike Park after school to grab a four-hour ticket? From now on, this is only possible on Thursdays and Fridays. The bike park at the foot of the Zugspitze can look back on a very successful first season. The three really fun, well-designed lines only opened in mid-May and have been in daily use ever since. However, with the end of the Bavarian summer holidays, the Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen are now changing their opening hours.
Since 14 September, the lift has only been running from
Thursday to Sunday, daily from 10 am to 6 pm
These timetables apply until Sunday 4 October 2026. The following week, the cable cars will once again reduce their autumn service to two days. From 5 October until “early November”, the cable cars will then only operate at weekends to take passengers up to the trail heads:

Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 6 pm
But that doesn’t mean the season at the new bike park on the Zugspitze has to be over just yet. The trails are generally open until the first snowfall or until any maintenance work is carried out. However, you’ll then have to cycle the 420 metres of elevation gain uphill yourself. The designated access routes are signposted.
