Norrøna: Sustainable materials and PFC-free membrane technology

According to Norrøna, it attaches great importance to environmentally friendly production. The company uses many recycled fabrics and materials to reduce its ecological footprint. If new cotton is used, it is 100 per cent organically grown. All down products fulfil the RDS standard (Responsible Down Sourcing) and the processed wool is traceable and mulesing-free.

An important step in Norrøna's sustainability strategy is the elimination of polyfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS) from all products. Since autumn/winter 2023/2024, the company has been using the ePE membrane from GORE-TEX, which is completely PFC-free. The majority of products in the spring/summer 2025 collection already contain this more environmentally friendly membrane.
