Clothes made from recycled PET bottles may not be a world first, but sustainable mountain bike clothing is still rare. Animoz wants to change that and is using WILD series mainly fabrics made from recycled PET bottles. The French label has had streetwear in its range since 2019. Bike clothing can also be ordered from April. The target group: downhill, freeride, enduro. Animoz is also set to feature in the DH World Cup this year.
The Shredder Pants are made for the rough stuff. They are made from 92 per cent recycled polyester and eight per cent spandex. Four-way stretch should provide the necessary freedom of movement and the long MTB trousers should be water-repellent thanks to a Teflon coating and welded zips. Whether the trousers keep their promises remains to be seen. There is a choice of three colours. The downhill and enduro trousers are available for 129,95 Euro. For 20 euros more you can also get a pair of inner trousers.
These stylish shorts are made for enduro bikers. They have the same features as the long Shredder Pants, only they are designed to dry faster. The Skill shorts can be ordered with or without removable inner trousers. They are available in three colours and for a price of 79,95 Euro (99.95 euros with inner trousers).
The jerseys are also made from over 90 per cent recycled fabric. Despite this, they are designed to be both lightweight and robust. The jerseys have clever features such as a zip pocket for the lift ticket and a sewn-in microfibre cloth. Whether long or short. Each jersey has 29,95 Euro due.
