To match the Shotgun Pro MTB child seat, Kids Ride Shotgun is launching a new child handlebar with quick-release function that can be quickly mounted on the bike cockpit.

Last year, Kids Ride Shotgun launched its new Shotgun Pro MTB child seat has been launched. The front seat, which is attached between the steerer tube and seat post, was developed for children aged 2 to 5 years and is equipped with quick-release clamps that enable quick assembly and a large adjustment range. A significant further development on the first Shotgun child bike seat, which was still clamped to the frame.

Now the New Zealanders are following up with a new Pro child handlebars, which can be perfectly combined with the seat. Thanks to the quick-release function, the Shotgun child handlebar provides the ideal cockpit for the young passenger in just a few simple steps. Instead of holding on to mum or dad's handlebars, children have their own grips and can sit more upright. The handlebar attachment also prevents curious co-pilots from playing with the brake and gear levers or the GPS computer while you ride through the terrain together.

The extra-wide handlebar (355 millimetres) has grips specially developed for small hands (19 millimetres in diameter) and has the same design as the Pro child seat. It fits flat MTB handlebars and riser bars with a diameter of 31.8 and 35 mm. It weighs 269 grams. The quick releases are also equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent unintentional opening (by the children). The new Shotgun Pro children's handlebar is available in combination with the Pro child seat for 275 euros. For those who already have a child seat (for example the Macride child seat), the handlebar attachment costs 65 euros individually.

With the handlebar attachment, children can sit much more upright than if they just cling to the bike handlebars. This makes it easier for them to hold on when things get a bit bumpy off-road.Photo: HerstellerWith the handlebar attachment, children can sit much more upright than if they just cling to the bike handlebars.
