Trek X-Caliber 9

The "X-Caliber 9" model from the Trek brand from 2023 is a high-quality mountain bike that is available for a price of EUR 1299. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and has a tapered head tube and internal cable routing for the gears and Vario seatpost. The frame also has luggage rack and mudguard eyelets as well as a Boost141 mount with a 5 mm quick-release axle. The permissible total weight is 136 kg, while the bike itself weighs 12 kg.

For the brakes, hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano (MT4100 brake lever and MT410 brake calliper) are installed at the front and rear, each with a Shimano RT56 disc with a 6-hole disc mount and a diameter of 180 mm. Shifting is via the Shimano SLX M7100 shift lever with 12 gears. The fork is a RockShox Recon Gold RL with DebonAir spring, Motion Control damping and lockout function, which offers a suspension travel of 100 mm.

The bike is fitted with VP-536 pedals made from a nylon platform. The crankset consists of a Shimano MT611 with a steel chainring (30 teeth) and an aluminium spider, the chainline is 52 mm and the crank arm length is 170 mm. The sprocket is a Shimano SLX M7100 with 10 to 51 teeth and also 12 gears. The handlebars are made of aluminium, have a diameter of 31.8 mm, a rise of 5 mm and a width of 720 mm. The grips are Bontrager XR Trail Comp with nylon clamp.

The stem is a Bontrager Elite with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, Blendr compatibility, an angle of 7 degrees and a length of 70 mm. The headset is semi-integrated with sealed compact bearings and aluminium cups (1 1/8" top, 1.5" bottom). The tyres are Maxxis Ardent Race in size 29 x 2.35 (for XS & S: 27.5 x 2.35), mounted on Bontrager Kovee TLR rims with sealed bearings and tubeless ready hollow rims (28-hole or 32-hole, 23 mm inner width).

The saddle is a Bontrager Arvada with steel rails and a width of 138 mm, while the seatpost is a TranzX JD-YSP18 with a stroke of 100 mm and internal cable routing (31.6 mm diameter, 361 mm length). The seat clamp is a bolt-on clamp with a diameter of 36.4 mm.

The packaging dimensions are 24 mm wide, 79 mm high and 140 mm long. The bike has a reach of 42 mm, a stack of 60 mm, a seat tube length of 42 mm, a top tube length of 60 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees and a seat tube angle of 72 degrees. The head tube length is 9 mm, the chainstay length is 44 mm, the standover height is 75 mm and the wheelbase measures 111 mm.
