Trek Top Fuel 8 XT

The "Top Fuel 8 XT" model from "Trek", released in 2023, is a versatile mountain bike designed for challenging trails and a wide range of uses. Priced at 3,499 EUR, it offers high-quality components and well-thought-out technical features.

The Top Fuel 8 XT’s frame is made from Alpha Platinum Aluminium and features an internal storage compartment and internal cable routing. The tapered head tube and Knock Block 2.0 provide additional stability and control. The frame is fitted with a down tube guard and a magnesium lever, which ensure added durability. The Mino Link allows for easy adjustment of the geometry, and the ABP (Active Braking Pivot) system improves braking performance. With 120 mm of travel, the frame offers ample comfort and control on challenging trails.

The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst its kerb weight is 14 kg, offering a good balance of stability and lightness.

The braking system consists of SRAM DB 8 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, fitted with SRAM Centerline discs. The saddle is a Bontrager Arvada with steel rails and a width of 138 mm, whilst the seatpost is a TranzX JD-YSP39 with a 170 mm travel and internal cable routing. The bike’s packaging dimensions are 23 mm wide, 119 mm high and 201 mm long.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 52 mm, a stack of 63 mm, a seat tube length of 54 mm, a top tube length of 68 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees. The head tube length is 14 mm, the chainstay length 43 mm, the standover height 76 mm and the wheelbase 127 mm.
