Trek Roscoe 8

The "Roscoe 8" model from the "Trek" brand from 2023 is a high-quality mountain bike designed for demanding riders and is available at a price of EUR 1799. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and features a tapered head tube, internal cable routing for the gears and dropper post, as well as an ISCG 05 mount and a threaded bottom bracket housing. With a Boost148 rear axle and a 12 mm thru axle, the bike offers a robust and stable platform for various terrain conditions.

The permissible total weight of the Roscoe 8 is 136 kg, while the bike itself weighs in at 13 kg. The braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with MT4100 brake levers and MT420 4-piston brake callipers, both front and rear. The disc brakes are equipped with Shimano RT66, 6-hole disc mounts, with the front brake disc having a diameter of 180 mm and the rear disc a diameter of 203 mm.

A SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed shifter is used for the gears, which works in conjunction with a RockShox 35 Gold RL fork with DebonAir spring and Motion Control damping. This fork offers a spring travel of 140 mm and is equipped with a tapered steerer tube and a Boost110 mount.

The Roscoe 8 features VP-536 nylon platform pedals and a SRAM X1 Eagle crankset with a 30-tooth steel chainring and a 170 mm crank arm length. The crankset is a SRAM PG-1230 Eagle with a gradation of 11-50 for 12 gears. The handlebar is a Bontrager Rhythm Comp made of aluminium with a width of 780 mm and a rise of 15 mm, complemented by Bontrager XR Trail Comp grips with nylon clamp.

The stem is also made of aluminium and is Blendr-compatible, with a length of 50 mm and an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is an FSA IS-2, which has a diameter of 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Line Comp 30 tubeless ready rims with sealed bearings and aluminium axles.

The saddle is a Bontrager Arvada with steel rails and a width of 138 mm, mounted on a TranzX JD-YSP18 seatpost with a stroke of 130 mm and internal cable routing. The seat clamp is a bolt-on clamp with a diameter of 36.4 mm.

The packaging dimensions of the bike are as follows: Width 24 mm, height 81 mm and length 152 mm. The model has specific geometry values, including a reach of 44 mm, a stack of 64 mm, a seat tube length of 42 mm, a top tube length of 61 mm, a head tube angle of 65 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, a head tube length of 10 mm, a chainstay length of 43 mm, a standover height of 75 mm and a wheelbase of 118 mm.
