Trek is giving its Roscoe an update for the 2022 model year: 140-millimetre suspension fork, 29-inch wheels and 2.6-inch-wide tyres. With the Roscoe, the Americans want to have put a trail hardtail with all-round qualities on its wheels.
The comparison with its predecessor shows: The Roscoe is now longer and slacker. 65 degree head angle, 73 degree steep seat angle and a reach of 470 millimetres in frame size L. This should benefit the new Roscoe on descents. To ensure that the trail hardtail still remains manageable, the chainstays are short at 430 millimetres. The wide 2.6 mm tyres should provide a little comfort at the rear.
Four versions of the aluminium hardtail are available Trek on. The Roscoe 9 is the most expensive model and comes with a Fox 36 Rhythm fork, Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain and eThirteen Helix crankset. Trek's trail hardtail is available in sizes XS, S, M, ML, L and XL and, depending on the equipment, costs between 1099 and 2499 Euro.
