Trek Roscoe 7

The "Roscoe 7" model from the "Trek" brand from 2024 is a versatile mountain bike that is characterised by its robust construction and high-quality equipment. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and has a tapered head tube and internal cable routing for the gears and dropper post. Other features of the frame include the ISCG 05 mount, a threaded bottom bracket housing, Boost148 standard and a 12 mm thru axle. The permissible total weight of the bike is 136 kg, while the bike itself weighs in at 13 kg.

The braking system of the Roscoe 7 consists of hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano (MT200) both front and rear. Both brakes are equipped with Shimano RT10 brake discs (180 mm), which have a centre lock disc mount. The gears are controlled by a Shimano Deore M6100 shifter and offer 12 gears. The RockShox Recon Silver RL fork with Solo Air air spring, Motion Control damper and 140 mm suspension travel ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain.

The bike is equipped with VP-536 nylon platform pedals. The crankset consists of a Shimano MT511 with a 30-tooth steel chainring and a 52 mm chainline. The sprocket is also a Shimano Deore M6100 with a gradation of 10-51 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by the Shimano Deore M6100 shifting group.

The steering is provided by Bontrager Rhythm Comp handlebars made of aluminium with a width of 780 mm and a rise of 15 mm. The grips are Bontrager XR Trail Comp with nylon clamp. The stem is also from Bontrager, made of aluminium, Blendr-compatible and has a length of 50 mm with an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is an FSA IS-2 with a diameter of 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Line TLR 30 rims, which are tubeless ready and each have 28 spoke holes and Presta valves. The hubs are aluminium Shimano TC500 with Center Lock disc mounts and thru axles (front 110 x 15 mm, rear 148 x 12 mm). The saddle is a Bontrager Verse P3 with steel stays, mounted on a TranzX JD-YSP18 seatpost with 150 mm stroke and internal cable routing.

The geometry of the frame offers a reach of 46 mm, a stack of 64 mm, a seat tube length of 44 mm and a top tube length of 63 mm. The head tube angle is 65 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. The head tube has a length of 10 mm, the chainstay length is 43 mm and the standover height is 74 mm. The wheelbase of the bike measures 120 mm in total.
