Trek Procaliber 8

The "Procaliber 8" model from the "Trek" brand, released in 2024, is a high-quality mountain bike designed for discerning riders. Priced at 1,499 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features that ensure both performance and comfort.

The Procaliber 8’s frame is made from Alpha Platinum aluminium and features a tapered head tube and internal cable routing. It is fitted with concealed rack and kickstand mounts and uses a BSA 73 bottom bracket. The frame also features a UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger), the Boost148 standard and a 12 mm thru-axle. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg.

The Procaliber 8 is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. MT4100 brake levers and MT410 brake calipers are fitted at the front and rear, working in conjunction with Shimano RT54 brake discs (Centre Lock). The maximum disc size is 180 mm.

The mountain bike’s drivetrain consists of a Shimano SLX M7100 12-speed rear derailleur and shift levers. The fork is a RockShox Recon Gold RL with DebonAir air spring, Motion Control damper and lockout function. It offers 120 mm of travel and is fitted with a Boost110 15 mm Maxle Stealth axle.

The Procaliber 8 is fitted with VP-536 nylon platform pedals, an e*thirteen Helix crankset with a 30-tooth steel chainring and a Shimano BB-MT501 BSA threaded crankset. The cassette is a Shimano SLX M7100 with a range of 10 to 51 teeth.

The mountain bike’s handlebars are Bontrager Comp aluminium bars with a diameter of 31.8 mm, a rise of 5 mm and a width of 720 mm. The grips are Bontrager XR Trail Comp with nylon clamps. The stem is a Bontrager Elite with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, Blendr compatibility, a 7-degree angle and a length of 60 mm. The headset consists of semi-integrated, sealed compact bearings with aluminium cups.

The wheels are Bontrager Kovee hollow-section rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 23 mm. They are fitted with Shimano TC500 hubs, which feature Centre Lock disc mounts and use a 110 x 15 mm thru-axle at the front and a 148 x 12 mm thru-axle at the rear.

The saddle is a Verse Short with CrMo struts and a width of 145 mm. The seatpost is a Bontrager Line Dropper with 100 mm of travel, MaxFlow technology and internal cable routing. It has a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 310 mm.

The Procaliber 8’s geometry comprises a reach of 43 mm, a stack of 61 mm, a seat tube length of 42 mm, a top tube length of 60 mm, a head tube angle of 67 degrees, a seat tube angle of 72 degrees, a head tube length of 9 mm, a chainstay length of 43 mm, a standover height of 75 mm and a wheelbase of 114 mm.

The bike’s packaging dimensions are 24 mm wide, 82 mm high and 143 mm long. The model is marketed under the name TREK PROCALIBER 8 M 29 GN-.
