Scott Spark RC 900

The 2021 Scott Spark RC 900 is a high-quality mountain bike designed specifically for ambitious cross-country riders. Priced at 4299 EUR, this model offers a wide range of technical features and high-quality components designed for performance and reliability.

The Spark RC 900’s frame is made from Spark RC carbon featuring IMP Technology and HMF. It is optimised for a 1x drivetrain and features a BB92 bottom bracket. The carbon rear triangle and SW dropouts for Boost 12x148mm provide additional stability and stiffness. The bike’s total weight is just 11 kg, making it one of the lighter models in its class.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano SLX M7100 disc brakes, combined with Shimano SM-RT66 brake discs, which have a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. This configuration offers excellent braking power and control in a variety of conditions.

Shifting is handled by the SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed system, controlled by the SRAM GX Eagle Trigger shift lever. The crankset is also from SRAM (GX Eagle DUB Boost) and comes with a 32T chainring. The Spark RC 900’s suspension consists of a FOX 34 SC Float Performance Air Grip 3 fork with 110 mm of travel and a FOX NUDE EVOL Trunnion rear shock, which has been specially tuned for Scott. The rear shock offers three modes (Lockout, Traction Control and Descend) and has 100 mm of travel. This combination ensures excellent suspension performance and adaptability to different types of terrain.

The bottom bracket standard is SRAM DUB PF integrated with a shell width of 41x92 mm. The handlebars are Syncros Fraser 1.5 made from 7050 D.B. alloy, featuring a T-shape, a width of 740 mm and a 9° backsweep. This is complemented by Syncros Pro lock-on grips and a Syncros XR1.5 stem with a -8° angle.

The headset consists of the Syncros Pro Drop-in, which is tapered (1.5"–1 1/8") and has bearing diameters of 42 mm and 52 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race, 2.35" wide, tubeless-ready and featuring EXO protection, making them particularly durable and versatile.

The wheelset consists of Syncros Silverton 2.5 wheels with a 25 mm wide tubeless-ready rim and Boost axles (15x110 mm at the front, 12x148 mm at the rear). The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 2.0 with CRMO rails, whilst the seatpost is a Syncros Duncan 1.5 with a 10 mm offset and dimensions of 31.6x400 mm.
