Scott Spark 900 Ultimate

The 2023 "Scott Spark 900 Ultimate" model is a state-of-the-art mountain bike equipped with a wide range of advanced technologies and high-quality components. Priced at EUR 13,999, it is aimed at discerning riders who expect the highest levels of performance and reliability.

The Spark 900 Ultimate’s frame is made from Spark Carbon HMX and incorporates the innovative Integrated Suspension Technology and Flex Pivot. This design allows for an adjustable head tube angle and utilises the Syncros Cable Integration System. The frame features a BB92 bottom bracket shell, a UDH interface and a 12x148mm axle with a 55mm chainline. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano XTR M9120 4-piston disc brakes at both the front and rear, combined with 180 mm diameter Shimano RT-MT900 CL brake discs. Shifting is handled by the wireless electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS 12-speed system, controlled by the SRAM Eagle AXS Rocker Controller.

Front suspension is provided by a FOX 34 Float Factory Air fork with Kashima coating and FIT4 damper, which offers three modes as well as adjustable low-speed damping. It has a travel of 130 mm. The rear shock is a FOX NUDE 5T Factory EVOL Trunnion, which has been specially customised for Scott and also features three modes (Lockout, Traction Control, Descend) as well as 120 mm of travel.

The bike is fitted with a SRAM DUB PF92 bottom bracket and a SRAM XX1 Eagle carbon crankset with 32 teeth. The cassette is a SRAM XX1 XG1299 with a 10–52-tooth range, and the chain is a SRAM CN XX1 Eagle.

The handlebars are Syncros Fraser iC SL DC Carbon, 760 mm wide with an 8-degree backsweep. The stem length is 50 mm. The wheels are Syncros Silverton SL2-30 CL full-carbon wheels, combined with DT Swiss 240 Ratchet EXP hubs and Schwalbe Wicked Will tyres in size 29x2.4".

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 1.0 with carbon rails, mounted on a FOX Transfer Factory dropper post with Kashima coating and a 125 mm adjustment range. The bike also features Syncros Fork Fender mudguards.

The Spark 900 Ultimate’s geometry comprises a seat tube length of 415 mm, a top tube length of 561 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees. The reach is 410 mm, the stack measures 608 mm, and the chainstay length is 438 mm. Other dimensions include a bottom bracket drop of 44 mm, a standover height of 759 mm, a fork installation height of 540 mm, a wheelbase of 1145 mm and a bottom bracket height of 332 mm.
