Scott Spark 900 Tuned AXS

The 2022 "Spark 900 Tuned AXS" model from Scott is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out for its advanced technology and first-class specifications. The frame is made from Spark Carbon HMX and incorporates Flex Pivot suspension technology. It offers an adjustable head tube angle and the Syncros Cable Integration System. With a BB92 bottom bracket, UDH interface and a 12x148mm axle with a 55mm chainline, the frame is optimally designed for demanding rides. The maximum rider weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 11 kg.

Suitable for riders between 180 cm and 200 cm tall, the bike offers precise and reliable braking performance thanks to the Shimano XTR M9120 4-piston disc brakes and the Shimano RT-MT900 CL brake discs, each with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and rear. Shifting is handled by the SRAM X01 Eagle AXS wireless electronic 12-speed groupset, controlled by the SRAM GX Eagle AXS Rocker Controller.

The FOX 34 Float Factory Air fork with Kashima coating offers 130 mm of travel and features three modes (Lockout, Traction Control and Descend) as well as a low-speed adjustment. The FOX NUDE 5T Factory EVOL trunnion shock, also featuring a Kashima coating, offers a custom large air chamber and three modes for different riding conditions, with a travel range of 120–80 mm in Lockout mode.

The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB PF 92 MTB Wide, whilst the crankset consists of an SRAM X01 DUB Eagle carbon crankarm with 32 teeth. The cassette is an SRAM X01 XG1295 with a gear range of 10–52 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM CN X01 Eagle chain.

The handlebars are Syncros Fraser iC SL DC Carbon, 760 mm wide, with an 8-degree back sweep and a mini rise. The grips are Syncros Pro lock-on grips. The headset is the Syncros Acros Angle Adjust & Cable Routing HS System, which allows for a head tube angle adjustment of ±0.6 degrees.

The bike is fitted with Schwalbe Wicked Will tyres, 29x2.4" EVO front and rear, with Super Race / TLE / 67EPI / Addix Speed Soft at the front and Addix Speed Grip at the rear. The wheelsets feature Syncros Silverton 1.0-30 CL carbon rims, tubeless-ready with DT Swiss Ratchet hubs and SRAM TyreWiz.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 1.5 Regular with titaniumrails, and the seatpost is a FOX Transfer Factory Dropper Post Kashima, which offers 125 mm of drop in sizes S and M and 150 mm in sizes L and XL.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 500 mm, a stack of 627 mm, a seat tube length of 540 mm, a top tube length of 641 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees, a seat tube angle of 77 degrees, a head tube length of 115 mm, a chainstay length of 438 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 44 mm, a top tube height of 801 mm, a fork height of 540 mm and a wheelbase of 1236 mm.
