HoheAcht BESTA ROKO

The "BESTA ROKO" model from HoheAcht, released in 2022, combines modern technology with robust features and is available for 5,699 EUR. The bike has a maximum permissible weight of 150 kg and weighs 22 kg itself, which is indicative of its solid construction.

The braking system consists of Shimano components, with the BR-MT420 four-piston brake at the front and the BR-MT410 hydraulic disc brake at the rear. The brake levers are also by Shimano and are made of light alloy with a two-finger operation. Both brake discs, front and rear, have a diameter of 180 mm and are fitted with the Centre Lock system.

Gear changes are handled by SRAM’s SX Eagle 12-speed derailleur, controlled by the SL-SX1-PA-A1 trigger shifter. The suspension fork is a RockShox 35 Gold RL with 160 mm of travel, whilst the rear shock is a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ with 65 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain.

Lighting is provided by the M-WAVE Atlas K 50 StVZO battery-powered light set, which features a high-output 42-lumen LED at the front and a 6-lumen LED at the rear. The pedals are made of aluminium by Marwi, whilst the crankset consists of a Shimano Steps chainring with 34 teeth.

The cassette is an SRAM Eagle CS-PG-1210 with 12-speed and a range of 11–50 teeth. Power is transmitted via an SRAM SX Eagle 12 S chain. The handlebars are a Kalloy – HoheAcht aluminium model, 720 mm wide, with a 12° bend and a 15 mm rise. The grips are by Herrmans, whilst the stem is also from Kalloy – HoheAcht.

The rims are Mach1 Trucky 30 aluminium rims in 27.5” size, fitted with Continental Mountain King ProTection tyres in the size 27.5” x 2.6”. The hubs are Formula industrial-grade models: the CL-811 at the front and the CL-148S Boost at the rear. The saddle is a WTB Volt model, mounted on a Kind Shock dropper seatpost.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano Steps DU-EP8 mid-drive motor, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h and delivers a torque of 85 Nm. The integrated battery has a capacity of 630 Wh and is controlled via the Shimano Steps SC-E7000 display, which offers Bluetooth and ANT Private connectivity. The charger is a Shimano Steps EC-E6002 with a charging current of 2 A.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 460 mm, a stack of 619 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm and a top tube length of 605 mm. The head tube angle is 64 degrees and the seat tube angle is 76 degrees. The head tube length is 395 mm, the chainstay length is 450 mm and the wheelbase is 1252 mm. The bottom bracket height is 336 mm. An ABUS BLO SHI IT2 XPlus lock provides additional security.
