GIANT Trance X Advanced Pro 1

The 2022 "Trance X Advanced Pro 1" model from GIANT is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed for demanding trails and challenging off-road riding. Priced at 7,599 EUR, this bike features a wide range of premium components and an advanced design.

The Trance X Advanced Pro 1’s frame is made from full carbon and is fitted with a Maestro rear triangle, which features a geometry flip-chip and a carbon rocker arm. This allows the suspension travel to be adjusted to 135 mm and ensures high stiffness and efficiency in power transfer. The maximum tyre clearance is 2.5 inches, whilst the maximum chainring size is 34T.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM G2 RSC brakes with 4-piston calipers and 200 mm front and 180 mm rear rotors. The brake levers are also SRAM G2 RSC, guaranteeing precise and controlled braking power. The drivetrain is a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed system, which, together with the SRAM GX Eagle shifter, ensures smooth and reliable gear changes.

Front suspension is provided by a Fox 36 Factory Live Valve fork with GRIP2 damping and 150 mm of travel. The rear shock is a Fox Factory Live Valve measuring 185x55 mm with a trunnion mount, which has been specially tuned to offer optimum damping characteristics.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB Pressfit, and the crankset consists of a TruVativ Descendent 6k with a 30T chainring and a 52 mm chainline. The cassette is an SRAM GX Eagle XG-1275 with a range of 10–52T, which allows for a wide variety of gear ratios. The drivetrain is based on the SRAM NX Eagle system.

The bike’s cockpit comprises a GIANT Contact SLR TR35 carbon handlebar with a width of 780 mm and a rise of 20 mm, as well as GIANT Tactal Pro Single Lock-On grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35 with a length of 40 mm.

The wheels feature GIANT TRX 2 29 carbon rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.5WT at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29x2.4WT at the rear, both with 60 TPI, 3C MaxxTerra, EXO and TR specifications. The bike is supplied tubeless.

The hubs and spokes are also from the GIANT TRX 2 range, ensuring high durability and performance. The saddle is a GIANT Romero SL, whilst the seatpost is a TranzX Vario post with a diameter of 30.9 mm, offering 120–200 mm of travel depending on frame size.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 426 mm, a stack of 617 mm, a seat tube length of 430 mm, a top tube length of 566 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees and a seat tube angle of 77 degrees. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 95 mm, a chainstay length of 438 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 40 mm, a fork offset of 44 mm, a top tube height of 729 mm, a crank length of 165 mm and a wheelbase of 1173 mm.
