GIANT Trance X Advanced E+ 1

The “Trance X Advanced E+ 1” model from GIANT, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-mountain bike that stands out for its advanced technology and top-of-the-range features. The price for this model is 7,699 EUR. The bike’s frame consists of a carbon main frame and rear triangle, complemented by the Maestro rear triangle construction with a geometry flip-chip and a carbon rocker arm. The frame offers 140 mm of travel and is compatible with an integrated speed sensor and EnergyPak Plus.

The Trance X Advanced E+ 1 is fitted with Shimano Deore BR-M6120 (4-piston) brakes with 203 mm discs, whilst the brake levers are Shimano Deore BL-M6100 I-spec EV. Gearing is provided by the Shimano Deore XT M8100 Shadow+ 12-speed system, and the shift levers are also Shimano Deore XT M8100 I-spec EV. An MRP 1X HD2 Custom chain guide ensures additional reliability and precision.

Front suspension is provided by a Fox 36 Live Valve fork with electronically controlled suspension and 150 mm of travel, whilst the rear shock is a Fox Float X Live Valve, also electronically controlled, with dimensions of 185x52.5 mm trunnion mount. The bike is fitted with flat pedals and features a Praxis e-Cadet+ crankset with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring.

The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a gear ratio of 10–51T, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC e.12 Turbo chain with EcoProteq coating, optimised for e-bikes. The handlebars are GIANT Contact 35 Trail with a 20 mm rise, complemented by GIANT Tactal single lock-on grips and a GIANT Contact SL 35 stem with a length of 100 mm and a handlebar width of 420 mm.

The bike’s rims are GIANT AM 29", tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30 mm, fitted with Maxxis Assegai 29x2.6" foldable tubeless tyres at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29x2.6" foldable tubeless tyres at the rear. The hubs are Shimano Deore XT, and the spokes are Sapim Race / Sapim E-Lite.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero model, and the seatpost is a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm (S: 125, M: 150, L/XL: 170). The bike’s motor is a SyncDrive Pro2, powered by Yamaha, with a torque of 85 Nm. The battery is an EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 625 Wh and is EnergyPak Plus compatible.

The display system is SG Display-compatible and supports RideDash Plus as well as RideControl GO and RideControl Ergo 3. The charger is an EnergyPak Smart Charger with an output of 6A.
