Focus Thron² 6.9

The 2023 Thron² 6.9 from Focus is a high-quality e-mountain bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made from 7005 hydroformed aluminium and, thanks to the F.O.L.D. kinematics, offers 130 mm of suspension travel. The inclusion of a USB-C port and the post-mount bracket for 180 mm brakes highlight the bike’s modern features. With a maximum load capacity of 150 kg and a kerb weight of 26 kg, the Thron² 6.9 is both stable and powerful.

Reliable braking performance is ensured by the Shimano MT520 hydraulic disc brakes with large 203 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The 12-speed Shimano Deore XT M8100 groupset offers precise gear changes and is complemented by the Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 shifter. The fork, a FOX 34 Float Rhythm designed specifically for e-bikes, offers 130 mm of travel, as does the FOX Float DPS shock absorber, ensuring a comfortable ride.

The bike’s drive system is based on a Bosch Performance CX Smart Motor with 85 Nm of torque and an output of 250 W. The integrated Li-ion battery, with a capacity of 750 Wh, ensures a long range. Control is via the Bosch LED Remote and the Kiox 300 display, which clearly shows all the key information.

The bike is fitted with a Samox EC40 ISIS crankset and a Shimano SLX M7100 cassette. The wheels are from DT SWISS (H1900) and are fitted with Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres in size 2.6 SuperGround Soft, which ensure optimum grip. Other components, such as the 800 mm wide aluminium handlebars and the Post Moderne telescopic seatpost, round off the overall package.
