The "Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 750 silvergreen’n’black" model from Cube, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike that is equally suited to challenging tours and everyday use. Priced at 3,599 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features and a robust build.

The frame is made from Superlite aluminium with Gravity Casting Technology and Efficient Comfort Geometry. It is equipped with Boost148, a fully integrated battery, an Integrated Carrier 3.0 and advanced internal cable routing. The 1.5 headtube provides additional stability and control.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT420/MT410) with 180 mm discs at the front and rear. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Deore RD-M6100-SGS, ShadowPlus, 12-speed groupset, supported by the Shimano Deore SL-M6100-IR shifter with Direct Attach and Rapidfire-Plus.

The SR Suntour XCR32 LO-R Air fork, with 100 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by a CUBE Shiny 50 Lux front light and an ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-E rear light, both powered by 12V DC.

The pedals are ACID PP Trekking, and the crankset consists of an ACID E-Crank with a 40T chainring and a length of 175 mm (EE: 170 mm). The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a range of 10–51T, and the drivetrain uses a Shimano CN-M6100 chain.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars, 700 mm wide, fitted with Natural Fit Comfort grips. The adjustable stem is a CUBE Comfort Stem Pro with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is an ACROS AZF-1035 with integrated cable routing and BlockLock 120° (EE: ACROS AZX-1040, BlockLock 135°).

The rims are CUBE EX23, 36H, disc, tubeless-ready, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres in size 55-622. The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT400-B (15 mm, Boost, CentreLock) and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT410-B (12 mm, Boost, CentreLock).

The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort model, fitted to a CUBE Suspension Seatpost HD with a diameter of 30.9 mm. The saddle clamp is a CUBE Screwlock Semi-Integrated with Hidden Tool, 36 mm (EE: CUBE Screwlock Semi-Integrated, 36 mm).

The bike is also fitted with ACID 65 Integrated Carrier 3.0 mudguards, an ACID Pro Flat Mount kickstand and a CUBE Integrated Carrier 3.0 luggage rack, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter.

At the heart of the e-bike is the Bosch Performance CX Generation 4 motor (85 Nm) with Smart System and a Bosch PowerTube 750 battery. The system is controlled via the Bosch Kiox 300 display and charged using a Bosch 4A charger.

All in all, the Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 750 is a well-designed and high-performance e-bike that impresses in terms of both comfort and technology.
