Conway WME 829

The Conway WME 829, launched in 2021, is a high-quality mountain bike fitted with a wide range of top-class components. The bike’s frame is made from CONWAY Fully Trail Carbon and is designed to support a maximum load of up to 130 kg, which is indicative of its robust construction. The braking system features SHIMANO XTR BR-M9120 brakes and SHIMANO XTR BL-M9120 brake levers, complemented by SHIMANO RT-MT900 brake discs with a diameter of 203 mm at both the front and rear.

Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO XTR RD-M9100 Shadow Plus 12-speed rear derailleur, controlled via the SHIMANO XTR SL-M9100 shift lever. The drivetrain is supported by the SHIMANO CN-M8100, whilst the crankset is a SHIMANO XTR FC-M9120 featuring Boost technology and 30 teeth. The cassette, a SHIMANO CS-M8100, offers a range from 10 to 51 teeth.

The suspension on the WME 829 is provided by the FOX Factory 36 Float fork with 150 mm of travel and the FOX Float Factory DPX 2 shock, ensuring a smooth ride over rough terrain. The bottom bracket is a SHIMANO SM-BB94, whilst the handlebars are RACEFACE Next R Carbon with a diameter of 35 mm and a width of 800 mm. The grips are RACEFACE Half Nelson, and the stem is a RACEFACE Turbine R with a length of 35 mm.

The wheelsets consist of DT SWISS XMC1501 rims and are fitted with SCHWALBE tyres: the Hans Dampf Soft at the front and the Nobby Nic EVO Spgrip at the rear, both in size 60-622. The hubs are also DT SWISS XMC1501, measuring 15 x 110 mm at the front and 12 x 148 mm at the rear. The spokes are also from DT SWISS.

The bike’s saddle is the CONWAY 1489 sport light model, fitted to a FOX Transfer Factory seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Priced at EUR 5,999, the Conway WME 829 is aimed at discerning riders who value quality and performance.
