Conway MS 5.9

Conway’s “MS 5.9” model from 2024 is a sturdy aluminium hardtail bike, available for 729 EUR. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium and measures 41 cm, resulting in a total weight of 14 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, making it a robust companion for a variety of riding conditions.

The bike is fitted with TEKTRO “HD-M280” brakes and brake levers, which, combined with 160 mm brake discs at the front and rear, ensure reliable braking performance. The 27-speed SHIMANO “Alivio” derailleur offers a wide range of gear ratios, supported by the SHIMANO “Altus SL-M2010” shifter and the SHIMANO “Altus FD-M2000” front derailleur. The bike’s fork is an RST “Blaze RLO” with 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride on uneven terrain.

Other features include Welgo “C280DU” pedals, a SHIMANO “BB-UN100” bottom bracket and a SHIMANO “FC-M101” crankset with 22/30/40 teeth. The cassette is a SHIMANO “CS-HG200” with 11–34 teeth, whilst power is transmitted via a KMC “Z99” chain. The handlebars are CONWAY risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, complemented by CONWAY “Sport” grips and a 70 mm stem.

The rims are RODI “Blackrock 23”, and the tyres are WTB “Ranger” in size 57-622, fitted to both the front and rear wheels. The hubs are CONWAY “Alloy” QR and feature black steel spokes. The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo”, mounted on a CONWAY Patent seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 300 mm.

The bike has no additional fittings such as mudguards, a chain guard, a kickstand, a lock or a luggage rack. The frame geometry is defined by a stack of 634 mm, a seat tube length of 406 mm, a top tube length of 570 mm and a seat tube angle of 72 degrees. The head tube length is 120 mm, the chainstay length is 448 mm, the standover height is 771 mm and the wheelbase is 1069 mm. These specifications make the Conway MS 5.9 a versatile bike for everyday use and leisure rides.
