Conway MS 427

The "MS 427" model from Conway, launched in 2021, is a robust and versatile bicycle that stands out for its solid build quality and excellent value for money. Priced at EUR 499, this model offers a wide range of technical features that are suitable for both leisure cyclists and ambitious beginners.

The MS 427’s frame is made of aluminium, giving the bike a good balance of stability and lightness. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, making it a suitable choice for a wide range of riders. The bike’s braking system comprises SHIMANO “BR-MT200” brakes and brake levers, as well as SHIMANO “SM-RT10” brake discs with a diameter of 160 mm at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance.

The gear system consists of a SHIMANO “Acera RD-360” 8-speed rear derailleur, operated by SHIMANO “Altus SL-M310” shift levers, complemented by the SHIMANO “Altus FD-M313” front derailleur. In total, the rider has 24 gears at their disposal, allowing for flexible adaptation to different types of terrain. The RST “Gila ML” fork, with 100 mm of travel, helps absorb shocks and ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven ground.

Other features include the Welgo “C280DU” pedals, the SHIMANO “BB-UN100” bottom bracket and the SHIMANO “FC-TY301” crankset with three chainrings (24/34/42 teeth) and a crank arm length of 170 mm. The cassette is a SHIMANO “HG31” with a range of 11–34 teeth, and the drivetrain is powered by a KMC “Z72” chain.

The handlebars are CONWAY risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, fitted with CONWAY “Sport” grips. The stem also has a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is of ZS44 / ZS56 specification. The rims are CONWAY hollow-section discs, fitted with IMPAC “Ridgepac” tyres in size 54-584 on both the front and rear wheels. The hubs are SHIMANO ‘HB-TX505’ QR at the front and ‘FH-TX505’ QR at the rear, complemented by black steel spokes.

The MS 427’s saddle is the Conway “3378 light” model, mounted on a CONWAY patented seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm.
