Conway MCL 3

The 2021 Conway MCL 3 is a versatile bike model that stands out for its solid spec and attractive value for money. Priced at 519 EUR, this model offers a wide range of technical features that make it suitable for both everyday use and occasional trips into the countryside. The MCL 3’s frame is made of aluminium and is specifically designed as a women’s model, contributing to a lightweight yet robust riding experience. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, providing ample space for both the rider and luggage.

The bike is fitted with TEKTRO ‘AL855’ V-brakes, which, in combination with SHIMANO ‘ST-EF41’ brake levers, ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are handled by a SHIMANO “RD-TX800” 7-speed rear derailleur, complemented by a SHIMANO “Altus FD-M313” front derailleur, providing a total of 21 gears. This offers the rider a wide range of gear ratios for different types of terrain. The SUNTOUR “XCE” fork, with 100 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven terrain.

For lighting, the MCL 3 is fitted with a HERRMANS “H-Black MR4” front light and a HERRMANS “H-Trace Mini” rear light with a parking light, powered by a SHIMANO “DHC3000” QR hub dynamo. This ensures that the bike remains clearly visible even in poor lighting conditions. The pedals are Welgo “C280DU”, whilst the bottom bracket is a SHIMANO “BB-UN100” and the crankset consists of a SHIMANO “FC-TY301” with 24/34/42-tooth chainrings.

The handlebars, a CONWAY Riser with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 700 mm, offer comfortable handling and control. The rims are CONWAY hollow-section rims, fitted with IMPAC “Smartpac” tyres in size 54-584 with reflective strips for added safety. The front hub is a SHIMANO “DHC3000” QR hub dynamo, whilst the rear hub is a CONWAY “Alloy” QR hub. The saddle, a Conway “4321 Lady”, is mounted on a CONWAY patented seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm.

Additional features include SKS “Velo 65 Mountain” mudguards and a CONWAY Alloy kickstand measuring 40 mm in length. Overall, the Conway MCL 3 is a well-equipped and reliable bicycle, suitable for both everyday use and leisure activities.
