Conway Cairon S 227

The "Cairon S 227" model from Conway, launched in 2021, is an e-bike that stands out for its robust and well-designed features. The frame is made of aluminium and forms part of the Bosch system, ensuring high stability and durability. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, making it highly versatile.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the “BR-MT200” model – combined with “BL-MT200” brake levers. The front and rear brake discs each measure 180 mm and are also from Shimano (“SM-RT30”). The derailleur is a 9-speed “Altus RD-M2000” from Shimano, which ensures precise gear changes, whilst the “Altus SL-M2000” shift levers allow for easy operation.

The cassette is a Shimano “HG200” with a range of 11–36 teeth, offering a good range of gears.

The handlebars are Conway Riser with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, complemented by Conway “Sport” grips. The stem also measures 31.8 mm and the headset is a ZS44 / ZS56 with a tapered steerer tube. The rims are Conway hollow-section “X17” for disc brakes, and the tyres are IMPAC “Ridgepac” in size 57-584 for both the front and rear wheels. The hubs are Shimano “HB-TX505” for the front wheel and “FH-TX505” for the rear wheel, both fitted with quick-release skewers. The spokes are made of stainless steel.

The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” and the seatpost is a Conway Patent with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The motor is a Bosch Generation 4 mid-drive motor, model “Performance CX”, with a voltage of 36 V and a power output of 250 W. The battery is a Bosch lithium-ion battery with a battery management system (BMS), also with a voltage of 36 V, a capacity of 13.88 Ah and an energy density of 500 Wh. The display is the Bosch “Purion”, which offers four assistance levels as well as a push-assist function.
