Cannondale Jekyll 1

The 2024 Cannondale Jekyll 1 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed specifically for demanding trails and descents. With a price tag of EUR 6999, it offers a wide range of high-quality components and technical features. The frame of the Jekyll 1 is made of carbon and has a suspension travel of 165 mm. It is equipped with Proportional Response Tuned technology and includes a Guidler-Idler pulley and a chain guide. Other features of the frame include the BSA 73 bottom bracket, ISCG05 mounts, a tapered head tube and the Ai Offset.

The braking system consists of hydraulic disc brakes from SRAM Code RSC with 220 mm CentreLine rotors at the front and 200 mm at the rear. Shifting is provided by the SRAM GX Lunar Eagle system with 12 gears, with the shifter also coming from SRAM GX Eagle. There is no front derailleur, which simplifies the system.

The suspension of the Jekyll 1 comprises a Fox Float Factory 38 fork with 170 mm travel and a 15x110 mm thru-axle, as well as a Fox Float Factory X2 shock with 165 mm travel. The shock is air-sprung and offers adjustable high and low-speed compression settings as well as high and low-speed rebound settings.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB BSA MTB73, while the crankset consists of a SRAM X1 Eagle B148 CL55 with a 30-tooth chainring. The cassette is a SRAM XG-1275 GX Eagle with a gradation of 10-52 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM NX Eagle system.

Steering is provided by a Cannondale 1 Riser carbon handlebar with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 30 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The stem is an FSA Grid 35 with a length of 35 mm. The grips are Cannondale TrailShroom.

The wheels are WTB KOM Trail i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready. The front tyres are Maxxis Assegai in size 29 x 2.5" with 3C compound and EXO+ puncture protection, while the rear tyres are Maxxis Minion DHR II in size 29 x 2.4" with EXO+ puncture protection. The hubs are from Formula with a 15x110 mm thru axle at the front and a SRAM MTH 700 with a 12x148 mm thru axle and XD driver at the rear. The spokes are DT Swiss Factory J-Bend.

The saddle is a Fabric Scoop Shallow Elite with hollow Cro-Mo rails and the seatpost is a Cannondale DownLow Dropper with Matchmaker lever, which offers an adjustment range of 150 mm in sizes M-XL. The total weight of the bike is 51000 g.

The geometry of the frame comprises a reach of 475 mm, a stack of 643 mm, a seat tube length of 445 mm and a top tube length of 623 mm. The head tube angle is 64 degrees, the seat tube angle is 78 degrees, the head tube length is 120 mm, the chainstay length is 442 mm, the fork rake is 44 mm, the standover height is 760 mm and the wheelbase measures a total of 1264 mm.
