Bulls Grinder 4

The "Grinder 4" model from the "Bulls" brand, released in 2023, is a versatile and robust gravel bike that is suitable for both challenging tours and everyday use. Priced at EUR 1,999, it offers high-quality components and well-thought-out details that make it an attractive proposition.

The frame of the “Grinder 4” is made from 6061 aluminium and features smooth welding and internal cable routing, which not only ensures a clean look but also protects the cables from external influences. Furthermore, the frame is bikepacking-ready, making the bike ideal for longer tours and adventures. The maximum load capacity is 125 kg, ensuring high load-bearing capacity.

For the brakes, Bulls has opted for the SHIMANO GRX BR-RX400, which is fitted with 160 mm Centre Lock brake discs at both the front and rear. This ensures reliable braking power and safety in all riding conditions. The gear system consists of the SHIMANO GRX RD-RX812 with 11 speeds, controlled via the SHIMANO GRX ST-RX600 shift levers, enabling precise and smooth gear changes.

The ‘Grinder 4’ features a Machete Carbon fork with internal cable routing and a 12 mm thru-axle, providing additional stability and keeping the weight down. For lighting, the bike is fitted with mounts for MonkeyLink Recharge front and rear lights; however, the lights themselves are not included.

The SHIMANO GRX FC-RX600 crankset with a 40T chainring, together with the SHIMANO Deore 11-speed cassette (11–42T) and the SHIMANO CN-HG601-11 drivetrain ensure efficient power transfer and a wide gear range that tackles both steep climbs and fast descents.

The Gravel SL double-butted handlebars and 3mm Comfort Grip Tape grips offer comfort and control, whilst the MTB-S stem with CCS Slot Mount ready provides additional adjustment options. The FSA ORBIT C40ACB (NO.42/ACB) headset complements the precise steering response.

The XC-21 Evo rims are tubeless-ready and fitted with SCHWALBE G-ONE ALLROUND Perf, RaceGuard, TLE 40-622 tyres, which provide excellent traction and puncture protection. The hubs feature Centre Lock and thru-axles at the front, as well as a quick-release at the rear.

The bike is rounded off by the BULLS Gravel saddle and the BULLS aluminium seatpost, which provide additional comfort. Overall, the “Grinder 4” from Bulls is a well-designed and high-performance gravel bike, suitable for both sporty rides and long tours.
