Bergamont Sweep 6

The "Sweep 6" model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a versatile bike designed for a wide range of riding conditions and rider types. Priced at €999, it features high-quality components and well-thought-out technology that are suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.

The Sweep 6’s frame is constructed from an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 11 kg, resulting in a lightweight yet robust construction. The frame geometry is optimised for riders between 156 cm and 167 cm in height.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-UR300) at both the front and rear, combined with Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers and SM-RT30 brake discs with a diameter of 160 mm. These components ensure reliable braking in a variety of conditions.

The Sweep 6’s drivetrain consists of a Shimano Tiagra groupset. The front derailleur (FD-4700) and rear derailleur (RD-4700, long cage) enable precise gear changes across the 20 available gears. The shift levers are Shimano Tiagra SL-4700 Rapidfire Plus levers, which allow for easy and quick operation. The crankset is also from Shimano Tiagra (FC-4700) with a 50/34t gear ratio, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with an 11-34t range. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain.

The fork is made of aluminium and features a quick-release mechanism as well as flat-mount mounts with three mounting eyelets on each side, which increases versatility when fitting accessories. The pedals are Wellgo LU895, and the bottom bracket is a Shimano Hollowtech II (BSA).

The handlebars are Syncros 3.0 riser bars with a width of 660 mm, complemented by Syncros Urban grips. The stem is also by Syncros (3.0), with a length of 75 mm and an angle of +/-10 degrees. The headset is a semi-integrated Acros ZS56 A-Headset with a tapered design.

The wheels consist of Shining DB-T260 disc rims with black stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Spicer Plus with Kevlarguard and reflective strips, size 40-622. The hubs are BGM Pro with CentreLock mounts and quick-release skewers.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, fitted to a Syncros seatpost. Further technical specifications include a seat tube length of 485 mm, a top tube length of 560 mm, a head tube angle of 72 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees, a head tube length of 110 mm, a chainstay length of 435 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 70 mm, a fork offset of 50 mm, a top tube height of 772 mm, a fork installation height of 420 mm, a crank length of 165 mm and a wheelbase of 1051 mm. The bottom bracket height is 286 mm.
