Bergamont Sweep 4 EQ

The 2024 Bergamont Sweep 4 EQ is a versatile and high-performance bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. Priced at 999 EUR, it offers excellent value for money. The frame is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 12 kg.

The Sweep 4 EQ is ideal for riders between 156 cm and 167 cm tall. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-UR300) at the front and rear ensure reliable braking performance. The brake levers (BL-MT200) are also by Shimano and offer precise control. The brake discs have a diameter of 160 mm and are also from Shimano (SM-RT30).

The derailleur is a Shimano Claris RD-R2000 with a long cage. The shifter is a Shimano Claris SL-R2000 Rapidfire Plus shifter with 2x8 gears. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Claris FD-R2000. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-RS200 with 50/34 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31-8 with 11–34 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC X8 chain.

The Sweep 4 EQ’s fork is made of aluminium and features a quick-release mechanism, flat-mount mounts and three mounting eyelets on each side. The pedals are Wellgo LU895. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN300, BSA. The handlebars are Syncros 3.0 riser handlebars with a width of 660 mm; the grips are Syncros Urban. The stem is also a Syncros 3.0 with an angle of +/-10 degrees and a length of 75 mm. The headset is an Acros ZS56, semi-integrated and tapered.

The rims are Shining DB-T260 disc rims; the spokes are made of black stainless steel. The tyres are Schwalbe Spicer Plus with Kevlarguard and reflective strips, size 40-622, fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are BGM Pro Centre Lock disc hubs with quick-release skewers.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, and the seatpost is also by Syncros. The bike is fitted with BGM Allroad Fender mudguards (50 mm) and a Racktime / BGM Allroad Carrier luggage rack with the SnapIt 2.0 system.

The Sweep 4 EQ’s geometry comprises a reach of 410 mm, a stack of 559 mm, a seat tube length of 485 mm and a top tube length of 560 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees, and the seat tube angle is 75 degrees. The head tube length is 110 mm, the chainstay length is 435 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm. The fork offset is 50 mm, the top tube height is 772 mm and the fork installation height is 420 mm. The crank length is 165 mm and the wheelbase measures 1051 mm, whilst the bottom bracket height is 286 mm.
