The new e-bike series from Trek is aimed at commuters and touring cyclists. With the Charter+, customers can choose between hub gears, derailleur gears or a more versatile trekking version called "Trail". The bike is available as a step-through model or with a diamond frame. Polished weld seams and clear shapes ensure a high-quality look.
The Charter+ 4 works with the Bosch Performance Trekking motor. It delivers 75 Nm of torque. The Charter+ 5 uses the Bosch Performance PX motor with 90 Nm. The batteries can be removed from the top and have a carrying handle. Riders charge the battery on the bike or separately. A lock secures the battery against theft. There is a choice of 540 Wh or, for 400 euros more, 800 Wh capacity.
The top model Charter+ 5 works with Enviolo hub gears on request. The AUTOMATiQ technology automatically adapts the gear ratio to the speed and terrain. Riders set their preferred cadence once. The system shifts gears automatically. The Charter+ 5 and all other models are also available with derailleur gears. If you want belt and hub gears in the cheaper models, you can choose between a Nexus hub gear from Shimano or a mechanical Enviolo with continuously variable technology.
All models have extended mudguards with mud flaps. MIK HD rear mudguards and MIK pannier rack are standard. Integrated front and rear headlights are fitted. Selected models offer adjustable high beam. An adjustable stem allows you to switch between an upright and sporty riding position.
