The Bocholt-based bicycle manufacturer Rose Bikes is pushing ahead with the new Sneak 3 EQ ushers in a new era of urban mobility. At the heart of the bike is the innovative Q'AUTO automatic shifting system from Shimano, which requires no external power supply and adapts to the riding situation and personal riding style.
With this technological advance, Rose wants to emphasise its position as a pioneer in the field of smart city bikes and is responding to the increasing demand for intelligent, low-maintenance mobility solutions for urban areas. The Sneak 3 EQ combines minimalist design with high functionality and is aimed at cyclists who are looking for maximum comfort and reduced complexity in urban traffic.
At the heart of the Sneak 3 EQ is the Q'AUTO shifting system from Shimano. This innovative technology promises a completely new riding experience in an urban environment. According to the manufacturer, the system uses high-precision sensors to recognise factors such as speed, cadence and incline in real time. Based on this data, Q'AUTO automatically selects the optimum gear, which should result in a smooth and efficient shifting experience. A special feature of the system is its energy self-sufficiency: the energy required for shifting gears is generated during the ride itself, eliminating the need for an additional battery. This not only eliminates the need for regular recharging, but also reduces the overall weight of the bike.
More about the Rose Sneak:
One remarkable feature of the Q'AUTO system is its ability to learn. Rose Bikes states that the shifting system not only adapts to the current riding situation, but also learns the user's individual riding behaviour. Manual interventions via the wireless Di2 shift button are memorised by the system and integrated into future shifting operations. Over time, this should result in a highly personalised riding experience that is optimally tailored to the preferences of the individual rider. This adaptive technology promises a new dimension in driving comfort, especially in the demanding and often unpredictable urban traffic environment.
To meet the different requirements and preferences of cyclists, the Q'AUTO system offers two riding modes. In automatic mode, the system independently and precisely selects the gear, which can be particularly advantageous in hectic city traffic. A manual mode is available for situations in which manual control is required. This allows the driver to actively control the gear selection. The flexibility to switch between these modes makes the Sneak 3 EQ a versatile companion for a wide range of urban scenarios - from the morning commute to a relaxed after-work ride.
The Rose Sneak 3 EQ should not only impress with its innovative shifting technology, but also with its sophisticated design. With a weight of 15 kilograms, the bike is positioned in the urban bike segment. The clear, minimalist appearance makes a self-confident statement of urban aesthetics and makes the bike a stylish companion in the cityscape. Despite the minimalist approach, great importance was attached to suitability for everyday use in the design. A sturdy pannier rack and a practical kickstand round off the equipment for everyday use in the city and make it easy to transport bags or other items.
When developing the Sneak 3 EQ, Rose Bikes paid particular attention to safety and riding comfort. The integrated lighting ensures optimum visibility on the road in all light conditions. In combination with the feather-light carbon fork and the specially selected tyres, the bike promises a smooth and comfortable ride, even on uneven city roads. The Shimano disc brakes ensure reliable braking even in hectic traffic situations.
Rose Bikes offers the Sneak 3 EQ in different versions: The HighStep frame shape is available in sizes S to XL and comes in the colour variants Chalk and faded denim offered.
For riders who prefer a lower entry, the MidStep version is available in sizes S to L, optionally in Chalk or Light Mint.
With a retail price of 2399 euros, Rose is positioning the Sneak 3 EQ in the mid-price segment for high-quality urban bikes. The new models are now available from Rosebikes available.
