With the Cabby, Gazelle presents a versatile e-cargo bike for everyday family use. The model is characterised by an extended pannier rack, a flexible transport system and a powerful Bosch CX drive. With a payload of up to 75 kilograms and various battery options, the Gazelle Cabby longtail cargo bike promises a high level of suitability for everyday use.

The new Gazelle Cabby is aimed at families and everyday cyclists who are looking for a flexible cargo bike for a variety of uses. The manufacturer has equipped the e-bike with an extended luggage rack - a so-called longtail cargo bike - which offers space for one or two child seats. These can optionally be secured with a safety bar. A padded backrest element can be added for additional comfort. The Cabby uses the MIK system (Mounting Is Key), which allows accessories such as baskets or boxes to be attached to the carrier quickly and without tools.

For the drive, Gazelle relies on the Bosch Performance Line CX motor. This delivers a maximum torque of 85 Newton metres and, according to the manufacturer, should provide sufficient support even when fully loaded or on inclines. Depending on requirements, there is a choice of three different battery sizes: 400, 545 or 800 watt hours.

Gazelle Cabby: Versatile cargo bike

The Gazelle Cabby is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, which should ensure reliable deceleration even with a higher system weight. Instead of a classic chain, this cargo bike uses a low-maintenance belt drive. This should ensure a quiet and smooth drive. A sturdy two-legged stand makes loading and unloading as well as getting children on and off easier. It can be easily folded in using a handle under the saddle.

Gazelle has paid particular attention to theft protection. The Cabby has an integrated GPS module for theft protection. In the event of unauthorised movement of the bike, owners receive a notification via the Gazelle Connect app. Once the theft has been reported, a detection team will take up the pursuit. Both the theft insurance and the detection service are included in the purchase price for the first year.

Sustainability and design of the Gazelle Cabby cargo bike

When developing the Cabby cargo bike, Gazelle claims to have focussed on sustainability. The frame and various components, such as the chain case, mudguards and footboards, are made from recycled materials. The Gazelle Cabby is available in the colours denim blue and black.

The maximum payload of the Gazelle Cabby is 75 kilograms. This makes it suitable for transporting children as well as larger purchases or bulky loads. Thanks to the electric drive and the high payload thanks to the longtail design, the Cabby should be a real alternative to a car for many everyday journeys.
