A gravel bike for mountain bikers. Because Gravel biking Since everyone has been talking about corona, most bike companies have one or even several models in their portfolio. Partly because demand is huge. The off-road racing bikes, which are said to have adventurous versatility, are now correspondingly widespread. However, the majority of modern gravel bikes with their racing handlebars clearly bear the signature of road bike developers. But mountain bikers are used to straight handlebars and wide tyres. As the Swede and tuning professional Gustav Gullholm, alias "Dangerholm" had also spent a lot of time riding hardtail mountain bikes on gravel tracks in the past, he decided to pick up on the gravel bike trend and take it to the extreme: with a gravel mountain bike. It all started when he had a crankset left over from another tuning project, and that's when everything escalated. Modest thoughts turned into very ambitious plans. The result is something to be proud of.
Dangerholm not only opted for a fast and good-natured bike, but also wanted to give the look a very special touch. The goals: Integrated brake lines, a standalone AXS controller setup and a paint job that wouldn't be easily overlooked. One of the best details of this project was the rigid fork, which revealed many options in terms of integration and paintwork. The smooth transition between the fork crown and head tube alone could be made much cleaner than you would get with a suspension fork. Apart from the fact that it is a gravel bike, it will also be Dangerholm's new winter training bike. He had already given his old winter bike an eye-catching 90s small paint job years ago to brighten up the long and dark Swedish winter.
"The metallic yellow takes on a different character depending on the incidence of light and really comes alive in the sunshine. To make things a little more interesting, I came up with a stripe fade design."
The gravel mountain bike weighs 7.5 kilos including pedals, without front carrier and with Schmolke carbon seatpost. Here are the Detailed component list of the Scott Scale Gravel from Dangerholm:
