At the suspension workshop with Marcus Klausmann, hobby mechanic Katrin was introduced to the finer points of suspension tuning. The full story can be found in BIKE 3/2020 and here is the fun photo gallery.

"I like biking, but I love screwing," Katrin said in her application for our reader campaign "Make a wish!" written. Her big dream is to get insider tips from a real professional mechanic. The Austrian, who works as a software developer in "real" life, realised a few years ago that working with her hands is the perfect balance to her daily computer stress.

You can read the full report on Katrin's workshop with suspension tuner Marcus Klausmann in the seventh instalment of "Make a wish!" in BIKE 3/2020 - on sale from 4 February.

Once the shock has been removed from the bike, it is disassembled further. Take care: Excess oil must be disposed of properly. Marcus Klausmann has a sink connected to a waste oil container for this purpose. Everyone else prefers to tip the stuff directly into appropriate bottles.

Adrian Kaether's favourite thing to do is ride mountain bikes on bumpy enduro trails. The tech expert and bike tester knows all about Newton metres and watt hours, high and low-speed damping. As test manager at MYBIKE, Adrian also likes to think outside the box and tests cargo bikes and step-through bikes as well as the latest (e-)MTBs.
