After the Chinese company DJI presented its own brand at Eurobike 2024, the Amflow the very first E-MTB with the new super motor other manufacturers are now presenting bikes with Avinox drive systems. The first three E-MTBs from Forbidden, Unno and Megamo were presented to the public at virtually the same time on 10 April 2025. Eurobike 2025 then saw the expected huge wave of new e-bikes with Chinese power. Many well-known manufacturers are now among the candidates. Here's an overview of the most exciting DJI bikes - constantly updated!
Two in one! With the Oberrider, the Swiss brand Thömus is presenting two different e-MTBs based on the same frame platform. The Oberrider SL (for Superlight) is a lightweight trail and all-mountain bike with 150/140 mm suspension travel. The Oberrider ST (for Supertrail) is aimed at downhill strength and has a full 170 millimetres of travel. Special feature: Both bikes rely on a high-pivot rear triangle with a high pivot point. The frame is made of carbon, the battery is permanently installed in each case. Available with either 600 or 800 watt hours.
Atherton Bikes raises the curtain on its very first e-mountainbike. Pre-orders for the new S.170E with the powerful DJI Avinox drive are now open, but the British company is still leaving some details open. These will not be available until the official launch in April. The E-Enduro with 170 millimetres of travel is based on the proven DW4 platform with a clear focus on ride feel and handling and is available in no fewer than twelve different frame sizes. This is an absolutely unique selling point. All variants come with the powerful motor and ample battery capacity. Pre-orders are now open, with delivery planned for April/May 2026. Initially, only 50 bikes will be available for customers in the UK and the EU.
Velduro is a completely new brand entering the market - and exclusively with DJI-powered e-bikes. Velduro was founded by two New Zealanders and a Chinese man. With DJI power and the E-Enduro Rogue, they want to hit the ground running. The rear triangle with a high pivot point and chain deflection, which should offer between 165 and 172 millimetres of suspension travel depending on the setup, is striking. Velduro calls this a "mid-pivot design". The progression of the rear suspension as well as the wheel size at the rear (29 or 27.5 inches) can be adjusted using various flip chips. Another special feature: the Rogue is available as a frameset for customised builds.
Rotwild is the first and so far only manufacturer to combine the DJI Avinox with a classic removable battery. The e-bike specialist uses a specially developed 864 watt-hour battery for this purpose. As is usual with Rotwild, this can be removed super-fast at the touch of a button. It weighs less than 3.6 kilos and is therefore lighter than the original 800 battery from DJI.
The all-carbon frame is based on the All Mountain R.EX, which was previously equipped with a Shimano motor. The bike offers 160/150 millimetres of suspension travel, Mullet wheels and a weight of 21.7 kilos, according to information from Dieburg. A mid-high pivot system is used at the rear, which is also found on the current models, as is the striking swing arm on the rear triangle. Interesting fact: A prototype of the enduro version was also on show at the trade fair! The starting price is 8990 euros and the bike will soon be available from dealers.
With the DJI Avinox, the Czech brand Crussis is focusing on a comprehensive range that includes fullys and hardtails, including aluminium models. This makes them particularly attractive in terms of price: aluminium fullys start at 4490 euros, while hardtails should be available from 3590 euros. The bikes with a rigid rear are also ideal for trails, equipped with a telescopic seat post and 140 or 130 millimetres of suspension travel.
At the top end of the scale is the e-Full 12.11-Pro X for 11,990 euros, with enduro equipment and a Fox Podium upside-down fork. The lightest model weighs less than 20 kilos. Some of the bikes are equipped with 600 and some with 800 batteries, which are firmly integrated into the down tube.
Andorra meets China! A new player entered the DJI game at the end of 2025 in the form of the small luxury manufacturer Forestal. The project is still so new that there aren't even any real images of the new Siryon V2 E-Enduro yet. However, the bike is already available to pre-order from dealers. Delivery is scheduled for spring 2026.
The e-Siryon was developed in its original form as a light e-MTB, and the chassis and handling of the e-Enduro have already fully convinced us in the test. With the Avinox motor, a popular drive will provide the thrust in future. The 800 mm battery is firmly installed in the down tube of the carbon frame. The other facts: 170 mm suspension travel, 29er wheels, two models from around 7500 euros.
Attention: Now it's affordable! Anyone who has been waiting for an affordable e-MTB with DJI Avinox should take a closer look at the Megamo Reason. Thanks to the option of an aluminium frame, the entry-level price of € 4999 remains particularly fair. The more exclusive brands in the DJI bike range cannot match this. And even the lighter carbon models start at a relatively favourable 5999 euros.
Megamo is taking a two-pronged approach with its new DJI bike. The Reason is available in both a robust enduro version and a weight-optimised light version (Reason Air). The variants differ in terms of equipment, suspension travel and weight. At the heart of the system is a flip chip that allows the geometry of the frame to be adapted to different suspension travel and purposes. The battery is permanently installed in all bikes.
Commencal is one of the most relevant mountain bike brands to have developed an e-mountain bike with the DJI Avinox motor. The Andorran company combines this new drive with proven qualities. Like all of the direct mail order company's bikes, the new model is made from aluminium. The geometry and rear triangle are based on the familiar Meta designs. The proven VCS system ensures effective suspension behaviour. The Meta Power SX DJI offers 160 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and rear. In combination with the Mullet wheels, it should be an ideal all-rounder for demanding off-road riding - from bike park sessions to challenging Alpine tours.
The 800 battery is permanently integrated into the down tube and the DJI quick charger is designed to effectively extend the range. Commencal is planning delivery in spring 2026, with three equipment variants available. The picture above shows the mid-range "Signature" version with Fox Factory suspension for 9500 euros. The entry-level "Essential" model starts at 7900 euros and is equipped with Fox Performance springs. The top model "Podium", which is equipped with the Fox upside-down fork that gives it its name, is available for 10,950 euros.
The Italians from Olympia have so far often equipped e-MTBs with domestic motors from Oli or Polini. But now the renowned racing brand is following the trend from Asia. The design and rear suspension concept of the new DJI bike are very similar to the brand's well-known e-MTBs, but the carbon frame with the Avinox system is considerably slimmer.
The Italians are cautious when it comes to the details. The bike will be customisable both in terms of suspension travel (160 - 180 mm) and wheel setup (mullet or full 29-inch) and will be available in different versions. The 800 DJI battery is permanently integrated in the down tube.
From step-through bikes to e-enduro bikes: Bavarian manufacturer Steppenwolf is presenting an extensive range of bikes with the DJI Avinox drive at the trade fair. Of particular interest to mountain bikers is the Fully Tundra, which uses various carbon frames depending on the equipment and price variant. The top-of-the-range model for 9999 euros is designed as an E-Enduro with 170 millimetres of suspension travel and 29-inch wheels for demanding terrain.
There are also two Avinox carbon full-suspension bikes with 160 millimetres of travel for 5199 and 7999 euros respectively. The DJI battery with 800 watt hours of power is permanently integrated into the down tube. In the early 2000s, Steppenwolf was a renowned bike brand with its own downhill racing team. In 2024, however, the Munich-based brand was on the brink of closure. Now Steppenwolf wants to make a fresh start under new management. With the Avinox motor, the new bikes are definitely equipped with a sought-after drive system.
Crestline offers something special with the RS 181. It is probably currently the only bike with DJI Avinox that is (only!) available as a frame kit for self-assembly. The gravity bike has adjustable suspension travel from 161 to 181 mm and is compatible with both mullet and 29er wheels. And there is another special feature: the 800 mm DJI battery can be removed from the closed down tube by sliding it out. The frameset with shock will cost 6999 US dollars. However, customers from Europe will have to organise the battery separately, as Crestline does not ship it across the pond.
The Canadians from Forbidden are known for their downhill bikes with high-pivot rear suspension. In addition to the rear suspension, the geometry of the bikes is anything but run-of-the-mill and now e-bikers can also enjoy this approach. The electrified Druid is available in two versions. One is robustly brushed for enduro and the other is weight-optimised for lively trail fun. The batteries are permanently installed in the down tube. The Enduro Druid CorE uses 800 Wh, while the lightweight LitE model has 600 watt hours.
The DJI Avinox is also causing a stir away from the typical mountain bikes. Velo de Ville presents the Revo-C, an eye-catching city bike that aims to impress with smart networking in road traffic. The e-bike is designed to predict traffic light phases so that riders can take as many green waves as possible. The manufacturer has not yet revealed any details about the technical implementation of this function.
The Spanish luxury brand Unno is known for its extravagant bikes. The Mith e-MTB is a real firework of innovation thanks to the integration of the DJI motor. The E-Enduro is said to weigh just over 21 kilos with an 800 battery and really robust enduro equipment. That's huge! Unfortunately, the bike is extremely expensive, even at entry level.
To offer the Avinox motor a platform and show the bike world what is possible, DJI quickly launched its own bike brand. Et voilà: Amflow was born. The PL Carbon is surprisingly stylish for a debut model and was able to prove in the BIKE test that it is more than just a parts carrier for the DJI drive.
