From an extensive set of Allen keys to professional tools such as chain lock pliers and bottom bracket tools, the Topeak Prepstation Pro has it all. We tested the toolbox.

There is also plenty of space for your own spare parts, from brake pads and screws to larger spare parts. "You can use it to screw in the Mountain Bike World Cup from a standing start," summarises test lab employee and screwdriver expert Dominik. And indeed. We have never missed a tool in the everyday testing of the EMTB editorial team. Even the Trolli of the Topeak Prepstation Pro itself impresses with its good workmanship and smart design. In view of the tools it contains, the storage dimensions are compact, but you still have a good overview of the available tools when it is fanned out.

However, the extendable chassis is needed more often - when fully extended, the Topeak tool box can easily tip over. The compartment mechanism and the chassis occasionally catch a little when folding, and the lower locking tab could be more solid and close more firmly. Nevertheless, this is a top tool box, even if the purchase is particularly worthwhile for demanding bike wrenchers. The quality of the tools is high, but the case is correspondingly expensive. This is despite the fact that some tools, such as the shock pump, are not even included ex works.
