Bocholt-based bicycle manufacturer Rose Bikes presents the latest generation of its popular e-bike Xtra Watt Plus. With well thought-out technical innovations, comfort-orientated equipment and a clear design approach, the city bike is, according to the manufacturer, aimed at use as a commuter bike for the daily commute to work or as a well-groomed tourer for trips into the countryside.
The new Rose Xtra Watt Plus presents itself in a revised look. The new colours Slate and Sage are intended to underline the modernised frame design and give this city bike a contemporary character.
The seating position can be flexibly adjusted for individualised riding comfort thanks to the adjustable stem. A suspension fork and suspension seat post ensure a pleasantly smooth ride even on uneven paths. According to Rose, this combination of design update and ergonomic improvements aims to make the bike perfectly equipped for everyday use.
The new e-bike from Bocholt has an integrated Racktime Snapit 2.0 luggage rack, which enables a load capacity of up to 25 kilograms. A special safety feature is the automatically activated brake light, which lights up when decelerating and thus ensures better visibility in road traffic.
The new Rose Xtra Watt Plus is powered by a Bosch motor with 50 Nm torque. This is the Active Line Plus e-bike motor from the Swabian company. The 625 Wh battery provides sufficient energy for longer tours or several days without recharging in city mode. It is controlled via the smart Kiox 300 display. Thanks to app connectivity and over-the-air updates, the system is always technically up to date.
The new Rose Xtra Watt Plus offers two different drive concepts that cater to different needs. Both variants are equipped with a low-maintenance belt drive. The first model variant is equipped with an Enviolo AUTOMATiQ hub gear and is aimed at users who attach particular importance to comfort and intuitive riding. The continuously variable automatic system continuously adjusts the gear ratio to the cadence, meaning that manual shifting is no longer necessary.
The Xtra Watt Plus 2 model, on the other hand, is equipped with a Shimano Alfine 11-speed hub gear and is aimed at sportier riders who prefer a more direct riding experience. The precise gears offer a balanced gear range and run particularly smoothly. This model is therefore perfect for dynamic routes and an active riding style.
Rose offers the Xtra Watt Plus in three different frame shapes: High-Step, Mid-Step and Low-Step. This makes it possible to cater for different body sizes and preferences when getting on and off the bike.
The Xtra Watt Plus 2 with Shimano Alfine 11-speed gears is available at an RRP of 3999 euros, while the Xtra Watt Plus 3 with Enviolo AUTOMATiQ gearstick for 4399 euros. Both models are available in different frame sizes. Rose is not currently providing any details on the exact equipment, such as which suspension fork is fitted.
