With a weight of 156 grams including silicone cover and extension hose, the Muc-Off AirMach Pro mini compressor is in the compact class, comparable to competitor products such as the E-Booster Digital from Topeak or the AS 2 Pro from Cycplus. The manufacturer quotes a retail price of 115 euros. In the practical test, the mini inflator impressed in several areas.

How the Muc-Off mini compressor works

The Muc-Off mini compressor is operated via three push buttons and is intuitive for experienced users, even without instructions. The compact display can be switched between the units bar and PSI. After switching on, the desired target pressure can be set to an accuracy of one tenth using the plus and minus buttons. This function proves to be very practical in practice, as it enables precise pressure adjustment. The inflator is compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves, which makes it suitable for different types of bike.

What the AirMach Pro does

In the practical test, the AirMach Pro inflated six 28 mm tyres to a pressure of four bar. The electric pump needed around 50 seconds for each tyre, which is a good average result in this device class. During the pumping process, the mini compressor develops an operating temperature of around 50 degrees Celsius at the valve, which is also typical in this device class. The integrated battery can be fully charged in 40 seconds via a USB cable. That's fast. With a fresh battery, the AirMach Pro reached a maximum pressure of 7.5 bar in our test, which is always sufficient even for slim road bike tyres.

Equipment

Muc-Off supplies the AirMach Electric Mini Inflator Pro with a comprehensive range of equipment. These include a silicone cover to protect the device, an extension hose for better handling and a spare rubber seal. An adapter for inflating balls is also included, which extends the inflator's range of applications beyond just cycling. The supplied silicone cover and extension hose significantly improve the handling of the device and enable comfortable working even in difficult positions.

The electric bicycle pump from Muc-Off in comparison

Compared to similar products such as the E-Booster Digital from Topeak or the AS 2 Pro from Cycplus, the AirMach Electric Mini Inflator Pro is positioned in the same price segment and also weighs 156 grams. The inflation time of 50 seconds for a tyre to four bar is competitive. Particularly noteworthy is the fast charging time of just 40 seconds, which, in combination with the maximum pressure of 7.5 bar, offers a good balance between performance and practicality.

Conclusion on the Muc-Off AirMach Electric Mini Inflator Pro

The AirMach Electric Mini Inflator Pro from Muc-Off proves to be a reliable and powerful companion for every cyclist. Its compact size and low weight make it a practical tool for travelling, while the precise pressure setting and versatile compatibility also allow it to be used in the workshop at home. The extensive features and robust construction justify the price of 115 euros, even though any well-functioning hand mini pump costs only a fraction and saves resources. The AirMach Pro is a recommendable option for cyclists who value a compact and precise air pump and do not find its noise disturbing.
