It wasn't just Lake Garda that had a roaring start to the season in May; the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Park also opened its doors at the end of the month. Three days of celebrations on the mountain flanks above Lake Molveno with a bike expo area and plenty of live concerts. And for good reason, as a brand new trail was also inaugurated this year. Here are all the bike novelties that we can look forward to this summer in the Trentino expect:

Dolomiti Paganella - new "Top Gun" super trail

The new addition to the now huge trail network on the Paganella is 4.7 kilometres long. Its curves wind playfully into the flanks of the 2124 metre high local mountain, making the most of the 573 metres of depth. So you don't have to reckon with steep gradients, but you should bring your jumping skills with you. There are wooden footbridges and other features that lead into the next smooth bend via drops. You should take your time on the first descent, but you can already feel the rhythm of the new line on the second lap. The special thing about the "Top Gun", however, is that it finally creates the connection between the Fai and Andalo zones. The Dolomiti Paganella Bike Park is finally growing into a large top area with over 100 kilometres of trails, 10 lifts and an incomparable Brenta panorama.

Tip for all female bikers: From 11-14 June, the BIKE Women Camp will once again take place on the shores of Lake Molveno. The female guides will sensitively introduce you to the key sections of the new "Top Guns" and of course all the other trails. The whole programme is available at bike-women.com

This was the bike opening of the Dolomiti Paganella 2026 bike park:

Val di Sole - Scott Bike Summer Camp

It's THE date for downhill youth: the Downhill World Championships will take place in Val di Sole again from 26-30 August. The fastest downhill riders in the world will be in the valley and some of them will be hanging on for another week to rock the famous Black Snake with the camp participants. Spend a week honing your style, hearing the stories of world champions, having your bike tuned by a race pro and there will also be plenty to win. For example, a free ticket to the World Championship final spectacle on 30 August, where you can stand right next to the track and cheer on your idols at work. Dates for the camp: 31 August - 5 September, price including full board from 690 euros.

Dolomites cycle path with Fassa Fiemme Bike Express

The Dolomites cycle route through Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme - including the section between Canazei and Campitello - is now fully developed and signposted. This means that the 48 kilometres along the idyllic Avisio stream can now be cycled seamlessly with the whole family. Picnic areas and playgrounds along the route invite you to take a break, and you can hop back on the Fassa Fiemme Bike Express at any time, which runs constantly in the valley with a bike trailer.

Pale di San Martino - new cycle path network

The cycle path network around the famous Pala Group in the Dolomites was extended in spring. This means that all villages and tour starting points in the Primieri and Vanoi valleys can now be easily reached by bike from San Martino di Castrozza.

Val di Fassa - new superlift in Campitello

Since December 2025, the new 3S cable car has been running from Campitello up to Col Rodella. In summer, the cable car also shortens the approach to the Fassa Bike Park trails for bikers. 980 metres in altitude in 5:50 minutes, plus plenty of Dolomite scenery thanks to the large panoramic windows.

Giro del Vino 50 - the new gravel route

In the green Adige Valley, halfway between Trento and Bolzano, the area of the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg stretches out. Small villages surrounded by vineyards come together here. In between, this newly discovered route for gravel bikers follows a stream, circles around a small lake or climbs up a panoramic hill. The steep, imposing rock faces in the background are merely decorative. The Giro del Vino 50 is signposted and leads mainly along cycle paths and little-used side roads. However, there are also long sections on dirt tracks or gravel roads in the forest. This leaves enough time to stop for a glass of wine at the wineries that pop up regularly. Total distance: 54.8 km / 658 metres in altitude
